Scotland At The Great Escape is set to return to Brighton on 15 and 16 May, with a snapshot of some of the nation’s best-emerging talent presented over two afternoons, at the UK’s largest showcase festival.

We are sad to announce that for the first time since its launch in 2010, our Wide Days convention will not go ahead in 2025. This decision has been extremely difficult, but to maintain the level and quality of the event, we believe it is better to take a year out.

Scotland’s Music Convention, Wide Days is set to return to the USA’s leading music industry conference South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, hosting an official showcase of Scottish talent, supported by The National Lottery through Creative Scotland.
Scotland is set to be the spotlight country at Swedish music convention, Future Echoes, with six acts showcasing at the international event which takes place in Norrköping from 21-23 March.

Sixteen Scottish acts are set to perform at The Great Escape, the UK’s biggest festival of new music, which takes place in Brighton, 10th - 13th May 2023. Katie Gregson-MacLeod, Redolent, Dylan John Thomas, Calum Bowie, The Joy Hotel, Christy, Terra Kin, Rianne Downey will play Scotland at The Great Escape showcases.
This year’s Wide Days has been hailed a success by organisers and participants, attracting 350 registered delegates (up 25% on 2022) from 10 countries and all the UK nations. Taking place in Edinburgh from 13-15 April, the convention hosted delegations from Mexico and Canada, showcased a record number of acts over the three days and invited the the festivals M For Montreal and FOCUS Wales to each guest programme a venue.
