Following its successful launch last year, Made In Scotland Gigs returns in 2025, and artist applications are open now!
Hosted by Wide Days and Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, Made In Scotland Gigs is a music strand of the Made in Scotland showcase, taking place on Friday 15 August at La Belle and Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh.
Scotland At The Great Escape is set to return to Brighton on 15 and 16 May, with a snapshot of some of the nation’s best-emerging talent presented over two afternoons, at the UK’s largest showcase festival.
New From Scotland will showcase a selection of new artists over two nights at much-loved independent venues La Belle Angele and Sneaky Pete’s, as well as some daytime pop-up shows (more details to come on those…)
We are sad to announce that for the first time since its launch in 2010, our Wide Days convention will not go ahead in 2025. This decision has been extremely difficult, but to maintain the level and quality of the event, we believe it is better to take a year out.

Scotland’s Music Convention, Wide Days is set to return to the USA’s leading music industry conference South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, hosting an official showcase of Scottish talent, supported by The National Lottery through Creative Scotland.
Scotland is set to be the spotlight country at Swedish music convention, Future Echoes, with six acts showcasing at the international event which takes place in Norrköping from 21-23 March.

Sixteen Scottish acts are set to perform at The Great Escape, the UK’s biggest festival of new music, which takes place in Brighton, 10th - 13th May 2023. Katie Gregson-MacLeod, Redolent, Dylan John Thomas, Calum Bowie, The Joy Hotel, Christy, Terra Kin, Rianne Downey will play Scotland at The Great Escape showcases.
This year’s Wide Days has been hailed a success by organisers and participants, attracting 350 registered delegates (up 25% on 2022) from 10 countries and all the UK nations. Taking place in Edinburgh from 13-15 April, the convention hosted delegations from Mexico and Canada, showcased a record number of acts over the three days and invited the the festivals M For Montreal and FOCUS Wales to each guest programme a venue.
Following last week’s announcement of the New From Scotland showcase and artist mentoring programme, the Wide Days international music convention is pleased to announce the latest conference sessions, further speaker names and a range of initiatives aimed at widening access and participation.
Wide Days is pleased to announce the first artists on its expanded showcase programme which features two nights of emerging Scottish talent and finishes with M For Montreal and FOCUS Wales providing snapshots of their festivals.
Wide Days is set to welcome trade delegations from Canada and Mexico, it will see a market focus panel on each country with delegates also participating in one-to-one meetings and the full convention, which takes place in Edinburgh from 13-15 April. Moreover, this year’s Festival Takeover includes Quebec event M For Montreal.
We’re back in Groningen from 18-21 January 2023 at Europe’s leading showcase event ESNS (Eurosonic). Katie Gregson-MacLeod, Gallus and VLURE will showcase across the festival programme and we’ll be serving up a host of Scottish delicacies at our official Scottish reception on Thursday from 17.30-19.30 at O’Malleys.

In a first for a UK music industry event, a grant will be offered to prospective delegates who need to cover childcare costs in order to attend.
We’re pleased to offer a limited number of free bursary delegate passes to emerging artists and music industry professionals based in Scotland, who have not previously attended Wide Days in-person.
