Made in Scotland Gigs - applications open
17 August 2025 · Edinburgh · Apply Now
Made in Scotland Gigs returns in 2026 and artist applications are open now!
Eight acts based in Scotland from across the genre spectrum, will be selected by a panel of music and media professionals to showcase to public and international industry audiences, on Monday 17 August across Edinburgh’s Cowgate.
Hosted by Wide Days and Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, Made In Scotland Gigs is a music strand of the Made in Scotland showcase. The initiative enables participating artists to make connections with media and music business professionals, as well as with the international visitors that the Fringe brings to Edinburgh.
Selected artists will receive a guaranteed grant to cover the costs relating to their performance in terms of advance briefing, rehearsal, travel/accommodation and for the performance itself. This will be calculated at MU rates, based on the number of performers in each group.
In addition to the guaranteed grant, each act will be given a unique discounted ticket link to promote to their fanbase, and will be paid 75% of each ticket sold via their link.
In addition to the artist grants, selected acts will be able to access up to £15,000 in Onward Touring support, administered by Made In Scotland to take up new international touring opportunities that arise as a direct result of the invited industry seeing the show at Made In Scotland Gigs. More info on previous years’ Onward Touring Fund can be found here.
