The Wide Days 2023 showcase programme is expanding, creating more opportunities than ever before for artists, DJs and composers based in Scotland to perform to international music industry delegates and new music fans!

In a first for a UK music industry event, a grant will be offered to prospective delegates who need to cover childcare costs in order to attend.

We’re pleased to offer a limited number of free bursary delegate passes to emerging artists and music industry professionals based in Scotland, who have not previously attended Wide Days in-person.

Wide Days is pleased to announce additional conference sessions, speakers and a bursary programme for professionals in Scotland starting out in their career.

Scotland returns to The Great Escape in Brighton from 11-14 May in Brighton, with 17 acts showcasing across the 3-day festival!

We’re hosting an online exchange to connect Scottish, Mexican and Welsh musicians and industry professionals. In partnership with Focus Wales and Mexico City record shop and label, La Roma Records.

We are pleased to be heading out to Austin, Texas to host an official showcase at the USA’s leading music industry conference SXSW next month, supported by Creative Scotland.

The line-up will present a cross-section of emerging Scottish talent, encompassing indie rock, jazz, post-punk and acoustic-folk. Constant Follower, Georgia Cecile, Hamish Hawk, MEMES, Parliamo and Walt Disco will play the Wide Days: Scotland at SXSW stage at the Swan Dive Patio venue on Thursday 17 March from 20.00-02.00 CST.

We had an amazing time hosting Scotland at Future Echoes in Norrköping, Sweden. Ahead of Scottish artist Kapil Seshasayee’s showcases at Future Echoes, we hosted a special reception connecting people working in the Scottish, Swedish and international music industry.

Ahead of Scottish artist Kapil Seshasayee's showcase at Future Echoes, Wide Days is hosting a special reception to connect people working in the Scottish, Swedish and international music industry.

Kapil Seshasayee is a polymath, and a true original talent, both as a songwriter and as a soundsmith, a one man combination of Scott Walker, Blood Orange, Arca and Richard Dawson, creating something wholly unique.

Since we can't all be in Groningen this year, we're hosting a little Scottish ESNS get-together on Zoom this Wednesday from 18.30-20.00 GMT (19.30-21.00 CET) and, directly before the showcase of Scottish band MEMES.

MEMES formed on a Megbus in Spring 2019. Debut single ‘Blah Blah Blah’ earned the band a Steve Lamacq live session on BBC 6 Music and regular radio airplay, leading to Fierce Panda Records releasing another single and debut EP ‘MEMES’ in 2020.

We're pleased to announce the launch of our 2022 artist development programme - open to all genres - with applications open now. Supported by PRS Foundation, it aims to develop international opportunities for six acts based in Scotland, and is open to solo musicians, bands, songwriters and producers/DJs who make original music.

Wide Days is set to return to Edinburgh as a physical music convention from 19-21 May, with a conference, one-to-one meetings and live performances , as well as a range of informal networking opportunities including guided tours, whisky tasting and exotic soft-drink sampling.
