2021 Showcase Artist Update

The artists selected for our Wide Days 21 talent development programme, supported by PRS Foundation, have been super-busy over the past few months. So we've condensed their news into a short update which you can find below, along with links to re-watch their Wide Days sets...

Alex Amor | watch

Having just released her 'Summer Is Sweet With You' AA side & completed a UK tour supporting The Snuts, Alex has announced a Glasgow King Tut's December headline show and plays Liverpool Sound City this weekend.

Constant Follower | watch
Constant Follower's debut album 'Neither Is, Nor Ever Was' is out today (1 Oct) on legendary Shimmy Disc label, supported by BBC's Vic Galloway & Roddy Hart, KEXP's Pacific Notions show and countless online outlets.

Hamish Hawk | watch

New album 'Heavy Elevator' came out on 17th Sep, picking up BBC 6 Music album of the day, 4 star reviews from Mojo & The Times and just announced to play Left of the Dial festival (Netherlands), Live at Leeds and supporting The Dandy Warhols in Feb 22.

Magpie Blue | watch

Having released her last single 'Just In Time' on Seahorses Music, produced by Idlewild's Rod Jones, Magpie Blue plays this year's edition of Focus Wales festival on Friday 8th October (10.40pm at The Parish venue).

Mason Hill | watch

With a top-20 UK album already under their belts, Mason Hill have wasted no time since covid restrictions were eased, heading straight out on a 17-date strong tour of the UK and announcing 2022 festivals including Belladrum & Planet Rock's Winters End.

Matt Carmichael | watch

Matt's debut album 'Where Will The River Flow' has been long-listed for the Scottish Album of the Year Award, and he's been invited as a guest soloist with the Grammy Award winning WDR Big Band in Cologne where his music will be arranged by legendary saxophonist, Bob Mintzer.
