AZAMIAH

Primed to be the next group from the UK jazz underground to break out, Azamiah draw on jazz roots while incorporating everything from James Blake–style production to dubby low-end, taking listeners on a journey across moody and light soundscapes. Their 2023 debut album In Phases won praise from The Skinny and Clash and received plays on BBC 6 Music and NTS. A bridge between their first album and second, their recent EP Two Lands, released in May 2025, resonates with emotional honesty and is played with a fresh intensity. Their latest singles, New Moon (October 2025) and Too Precious (March 2026), continue to expand their sonic palette and showcase their evolving sound.

The band has performed on stages across the UK and Europe, including Latitude Festival, Brick Lane Jazz Festival, JAZZMI Festival, North Sea Round Town, and showcases at SXSW 2026, jazzahead! 2026, and Wide Days 2026. Their Autumn UK Tour 2025 saw them playing London, Brighton, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, and Glasgow, strengthening their presence across the UK live scene.

Looking ahead, Azamiah are building toward a new album release in early 2027. Freedom music that seeks out independent pathways, this remarkable four-piece are poised to become the next crossover phenomenon from the UK’s jazz underground.

BIKINI BODY

Bikini Body are your favourite DJ’s favourite punk band. The Edinburgh five-piece operate at the intersection of post-punk and dance music, building a sound that’s dancier than punk and punkier than dance.

Early support from Glasgow institution Optimo Music, who released two of the band’s records via Optimo Music Rocks, helped shape their trajectory. Support from Optimo, and the influence of the late JD Twitch, were formative in shaping the band’s current trajectory, developing a sound that is dancier than punk and punkier than dance.

Drawing on no-wave and dance-punk touchstones like ESG and Liquid Liquid, alongside contemporaries such as Viagra Boys, Warmduscher and Squid, Bikini Body fuse wiry, percussive grooves with a confrontational vocal delivery indebted to The Slits, Bush Tetras and X-Ray Spex.

Over the past year, the band has built serious live momentum. They performed to around 1,500 people at Optimo’s Queens Park Weekender alongside Erol Alkan and The Blessed Madonna, completed a 13-date UK co-headline tour including a sold-out show at The George Tavern in London, and recently played a packed-out headline show at The Windmill, Brixton. They have also supported the likes of Warmduscher, Deadletter, Getdown Services, Mdou Moctar and The Bug Club.

Festival appearances have included Manchester Psych Fest, Hidden Door, Kelburn Garden Party, Edinburgh Psych Fest and Watching Trees, a dance-leaning programme curated by Optimo and Ransom Note where the band’s crossover appeal proved a standout. Later this year the band will be performing at festivals in Barcelona and Rotterdam.

Their releases to date include a limited Optimo Music vinyl run that sold out within days, and a split single with Conscious Pilot on DevilDuck Records. Airplay has followed across BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, KEXP and NTS.

Grammy Nominated (Moonchild) Andris Mattson

Cathal’s music has been featured on the likes of Amazon Prime Film Soundtracks, AerLingus adverts, Apple and Spotify Editorial Playlisting and across national and international TV with live performances from BBC Northern Ireland to ABC News in the states. 2026 shows to be a busy year for Cathal with a 3 week European tour with Ariel Posen followed by his own UK and Ireland Tour yet to be announced!

DARA DUBH

Dara Dubh is an Irish indie–folk–rock artist whose songs sit somewhere between heartfelt confession and a good kick up the road. A singer-songwriter and harpist with a habit of blending the delicate with the downright fierce, she brings a sharp emotional edge to a sound shaped by folk roots, alternative influences, and whatever else has been rattling around her head that week.

With the harp as her trusted companion, Dubh challenges the idea of an instrument often associated with traditional music. The harp has found new life in Dara’s hands as she pushes the boundaries of its capabilities, and a voice that can shift from whisper-soft to unapologetically powerful without warning.

A SAMA Best Newcomer nominee, JBL & Martin Garrix Music Academy top 10 UK artists and one of The List’s Hot 100 (No. 57), Dara has taken her live show across the UK and Italy, collecting a run of sold-out nights in Scotland, Ireland, and Italy along the way. Her 2024 EP opened the door to a wider audience, followed by a collaborative EP in 2025 that pushed her sound into new territory. She’s currently working away—quietly but determinedly—on her debut album, set for 2026.

With a sound that refuses to sit neatly in any one box, Dara Dubh continues to carve out her own corner of a genre dyfing landscape, one unhurried but unforgettable song at a time.

FRIGHT YEARS

2025 was a breakout year for Fright Years. From a euphoric set at TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow to a BBC Introducing session at Maida Vale, the Scottish indie-rock four-piece have quickly established themselves as one of the UK’s most exciting new acts. With regular BBC Radio 1 airplay, TV placements and a run of sold-out Scottish headline shows, the band are fast earning a reputation for turning raw emotion into widescreen, heart-swelling anthems. Built around frontwoman Juliette Kelly’s commanding voice - powerful, dynamic, and unflinchingly honest - Fright Years craft emotive, cinematic indie rock that feels both intimate and immense.

Their debut EP, Still Life, recorded with producer Theo Verney (Lime Garden, English Teacher), earned critical acclaim for its honesty and ambition. Centred on Juliette’s reflections on loss and grief, the record transforms deeply personal experience into something universal and cathartic. Its standout track, “Stars”, has become a fan favourite – a beacon of resilience that captures exactly what Fright Years do best: melancholy wrapped in melody, heartbreak turned into hope.

Having sold out their Winter UK dates around England as well as sharing stages with Overpass, Ellur, and Twin Atlantic, the band have honed a sound that shimmers with emotion and surges with scale.

With new music slated for spring 2026, Fright Years are set to embark on some high profile supports with Fatherson and Lucia and the Best Boys, bringing their intoxicating live show and emotional intensity to large stages across the country marking the next thrilling chapter in their ascent.

hAIVER

Born from the creative pulse of Scotland’s indie scene, Haiver is a Glasgow-based band led by Billy Kennedy, of the acclaimed Frightened Rabbit. Blending heartfelt lyricism with soaring melodies, Haiver’s sound moves between the intimate and the anthemic - weaving stories of loss, resilience, and the fragile beauty of starting again.

What began as Kennedy’s personal outlet for reflection has evolved into a full-bodied four-piece, featuring John Bonnar on bass, Craig Brownlie on guitar and Findlay Wallace Brown on drums. Haiver channels emotional honesty into something raw, fresh and deeply human. The music captures the quiet moments that sit between grief and hope, wrapped in shimmering guitars, driving rhythms, and Kennedy’s soul-stirring voice.

Their songs speak to anyone who’s ever tried to piece themselves back together - equal parts melancholy and momentum, rooted in Scotland’s musical tradition of sincerity and grit.

Haiver are quickly carving a place for themselves among the country’s most vital new acts, offering listeners a sound that feels both comfortingly familiar and strikingly new - a reminder that even in the aftermath, there’s beauty in the rebuild.
