First Wave of Speakers and Seminars

Our first panel topics and speakers for this year’s Wide Days conference are confirmed and include sessions on new record label models, how venues and festivals can improve disabled access and what the wider industry can learn from the metal scene.

We are also looking forward to a whole strand of talks hosted by Chris Cooke and Sam Taylor from music business education programme, CMU:DIY. Based around a series of practical guides published by the company, they will be combined with insights from a range of industry experts.

Some of 2017’s most popular speakers  - Julie Weir (label head, Music For Nations / Sony Music), Baris Basaran (head of booking, SSC Music) and Toni Malyn (heading of marketing/artist relations EmuBands) – return to Wide Days 2018 and they will be joined by some great panellists taking part for the first time.

These include Olivia Sime (booking agent, ITB), Danny Roberts (international A&R manager, Decca Records), Gideon Feldman (senior project manager, Attitude Is Everything), Malena Wolfer (senior marketing & international manager, Believe Distribution Services), Adam Smith (operation support manager, PPL) and Aarti Joshi (PR & Marketing Director, DF Concerts).
