Zara Kitson

Scottish Green Party

Zara grew up in an ex-mining village in Central Scotland. She has a passion for social justice and challenging structural inequality. Zara has embraced a diverse range of jobs and volunteer roles throughout her life, working with young people and communities across public, private and third sectors. Zara joined fellow Scottish Green Patrick Harvie’s challenge the closure of the Arches in Glasgow

The Scottish Greens proposed Intermittent Work Scheme demonstrates their commitment to investment in culture as core to Scotland’s economy, communities and quality of life. It is a step forward to ensuring artists have access to a means of living in a precarious working environment, and that their work is valued for its true worth and contribution to life in Scotland.
