Working for the leading independent music charity Help Musicians UK Suzanne Miller as National Manager has established the HM Scotland office dedicated to supporting, advocating for and championing the vibrant and globally loved Scottish music scene. Suzanne’s twenty-year international career blends commercial and creative sector expertise, which has seen her consulting on and delivering holistic support and impactful services for creatives and musicians across Scotland. Originally from Scotland, Suzanne grew up and graduated in the US, where she developed a successful career in the commercial sector. In 2006, Suzanne returned to Scotland and continued to deliver holistic development programmes across the UK as MD within a revenue generating BPO. Suzanne then made a career change to the creative sector, attending University of Glasgow for her Masters in the cultural sector.

In 2014, Suzanne joined Cultural Enterprise Scotland (CEO) as Head of Engagement where she developed and delivered national digital and live engagement events, Masterclasses and Workshops to support Scotland’s creative communities to create, scale and grow their creative practices. She has combined her passion and education for the arts with a drive to further embed the social, economic and artistic value of the arts into Scotland’s modern culture.

Launched by HMUK in January 2018, HM Scotland aims to reach the entire country, having an impact beyond the central belt into the Highlands, Islands, and borders of Scotland through programmes of support, advice and campaigns. HM Scotland supports all genres in Scotland, celebrating the musical heritage and history of Scottish music, creating sustainable programmes, health and welfare support, creative opportunities and campaigns. Working in partnership with individuals and organisations, HM Scotland pledges that every penny raised in the country will go back into Scotland.
