FOUNDER - SUNDAY BEST RECORDS
Sarah Bolshi has been in the music industry for over 30 years. She started working at Phonogram Records / Talking Loud (Polygram) in 1990, moving to Sony, Warners and them cultivating her A&R and label boss skills at Big Life Records working with legendary Jazz Summers and starting her first label (breakbeat) Bolshi Records in 1995.
She founded record label Sunday Best Recordings and Publishing and subsidiary Silver Bear Recordings with Rob da Bank in 2000. Sunday Best specialise in Eclectic pop, Electronic, folk and psychedelic sounds. Sunday Best have always signed artists at grassroots level and focussed on development over a long period. They have released over 1700 tracks and nearly 100 albums including albums by seminal film director David Lynch, dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Kitty Daisy and Lewis, and many others. Watch out for releases in 2019 which sees the label launching and further establishing new artists Plastic Mermaids, L.A. Salami, Alice Jemima, Pearl City and O’Flynn plus many more..
