Samuel Maggs

Project Manager, Gig Buddies with Thera Trust

Sam has been the manager for Gig Buddies across Scotland since the project's inception in 2016. Gig Buddies enables adults with a learning disability to live an active social life and access live events. The charity works closely with arts organizations and venues to ensure they are confident to welcome neurodivergent audience members, proving and creating access materials, and delivering awareness training. Their current arts partners range from King Tut's, to the RSNO, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Sam has previously spoken about access on panels for The Fringe World Congress and Independent Venue Week.
