Ruth Barlow

Ruth Barlow is Director of Live Licensing at the Beggars Group and Chair of the Association of Independent Music. Cutting her teeth at London radio Xfm in 1998, rising from intern to Specialist Music Producer then joined Beggars Group in 2002 as national radio promoter. She worked on early campaigns for The White Stripes, Interpol, M.I.A., and Biffy Clyro. She created inventive live events with The White Stripes, Radiohead, and Beirut and co-founded Concrete and Glass, a multi-venue festival across East London. Appointed to the Beggars board in 2014, she now oversees global live licensing rights for the label's artists and advocates on behalf of the independent music community.
