Model Aeroplanes is made up of four lifelong friends, brought together by their love of making fresh, honest pop music. They have been compared to bands such as Vampire Weekend, Theme Park and Bombay Bicycle Club, and harbour influences of disco, new wave and pop music.

Since forming in early 2013, Model Aeroplanes have released a successful first single, Crazy, which secured the band a slot on the prestigious BBC Introducing Stage at Scotland's T in the Park music festival, where they received one of the biggest crowds for that stage over the weekend.

The single reached over 10,000 plays before its release date after being featured on many international music sites such as Clash - who named it their track of the month - When The Gramophone Rings, This Is Fake DIY and Indie Shuffle, as well as airplay on Radio 1 and regional stations.

The single received plays in public shops such as River Island and on the catwalk videos of international retail distributor ASOS. During this period the band were invited to perform with Editors at their sold-out show at Edinburgh's Picture House and with The View at a sold-out hometown show in Dundee as well as being featured on The Hype Machine.

Model Aeroplanes' second single, Innocent Love, has already secured three national radio plays on Radio 1 and several regional radio plays. Both tracks have had extensive regional and national newspaper coverage.
