Mark Stevens

I attended my first concert two weeks after my fifteenth birthday, after the second concert I was hooked! Being born in Brighton I was spoilt for choice in the height of the Punk and New Wave Era and with London just up the road what more could I want. My passion for music grew as I explored more and music genres and attended many more gigs. Although not choosing a career in the music industry after college, live music and record collecting became a way of life for me. In 1990 I went to my first overseas concert, in Berlin, and that was it, the boundaries of where to go for gigs disappeared. After working in Food Retail Management for forty years, I moved to Scotland and also started working in the music industry, something I should have done decades ago! Oh for the power of hindsight!! Absolutely love what I do now and thoroughly enjoy working at MacArts.
