Main Ingredient (M.i.) is a collective who focus on bespoke parties in unusual spaces.
Concentrating on sound, lighting and visuals combining these together with raw analog machine jams and vinyl sets. Founders Lee Marvin, Jimmy Jammin' and Gavin Fort have been throwing parties and DJing for over a decade playing in venues such as the Sub club, Saint Judes and the legendary Venue (Edinburgh) as well as guesting all over the UK at various clubs and festivals.
Off the back of their sell out 'illegal Warehouse parties' Main Ingredient has gained a following up and down Scotland and beyond. The collective came together through a mutual love of classic analog gear from the likes of Roland, Korg and sharing a deep affection for New York, Chicago and Detroit music, with a foot firmly rooted in the early rise of UK Acid House. A typical Main Ingredient party seamlessly blends an improvised techno/house live analog set with a back to back DJ ethos, pollenating original disco, funk and current and classic house.
