Founding Director of Music Broth, Scotland’s Loudest Library, social enterprise with charitable status. With 2500+ musical items our community musical instrument library ethos supports creativity and wellbeing, making music accessible to all in an environmentally sound way, through repaired restored and shared instruments and equipment, as well as workshops, events and programmes.

Our welcoming inclusive spaces and sharing of instruments bring joy and creativity into people’s lives. All are welcome; all abilities, backgrounds, demographics. We have supported people with additional needs to access skills they didn’t know they had, helped refugees and those in the asylum process make friends and music locally, and take instruments home to allow them to express themselves and their stories. We’ve supported fledgling bands to do gigs they might not otherwise have had kit to, and volunteers to grow in confidence and develop into tutors, mentors, and find music and other industry employment.
