Grant's a film director and author. He worked for 20 years in the camera department on over 50 feature films and hundreds of hours of television. His own directing work includes Teenage Superstars, Far From the Apple Tree, Big Gold Dream, 2nd Unit Director and Cinematographer on Outlander; and a soon to be released trilogy of films on Liverpool's 60s-80s Underground Arts scene.
His books include the music documents Scene Within a Scene, Caledonia Screaming, Postcards From Scotland and Hungry Beat (with Douglas MacIntyre); and the soon to be released document on Scotland's Film Industry, Caledonia Streaming.
