Gary Clark was originally an artist, recording 5 albums for Virgin/Circa under the names Danny Wilson, Gary Clark, King L and one album as a member of Transister for Virgin UK/ Interscope US. Now a full time songwriter and producer he has made records with artists as diverse as Natalie Imbruglia, Skin (Skunk Anansie), Nick Carter, Spice Girls Melanie C & Emma Bunton, Skye (Morcheeba), Liz Phair, Gin Wigmore, Delta Goodrem, k d Lang and Mark Owen (Take That), and collaborated with a host of A-list writers and producers including Cathy Dennis, Evan Bogart, Lindy Robbins, Jorgen Elofsson, Ali Tamposi, Arnthor Birgisson, Tommy Lee James, and Bonnie McKee.
Based in Los Angeles for several years, he worked for two years as a member of the Matrix production team producing Ferras, McFly and Clique Girlz with the team before branching out on his own again to write and produce tracks for artists such as Demi Lovato, The Veronicas, The Wanted, Lawson, Delta Goodrem, Kim Cesarion & Alex Hepburn.
Currently based in the UK, recent projects include more work with Kim Cesarion, Alex Hepburn & Gin Wigmore.
In addition to his successes in the pop and rock fields Gary has co-produced and co-written two number one club records with Sarah Jorge and Narcotic Thrust. He was nominated for an Ivor Novello award for Danny Wilson's "Mary's Prayer", and has 3 BMI awards for his work as an artist, with Natalie Imbruglia and more recently with Ferras.
