Publishing Director with Hot Press & Operations Director of hotpress.com, Duan has been involved in music almost since birth, citing Bob Marley’s Dalymount Park concert as the first gig he remembers. He was five years old at the time. After studying Business and Politics at Trinity College Dublin, later taking an MBS course at UCD, he worked for Polygram Merchandising in the US, touring with teen sensations Hanson amongst others. The first man to be drafted in when Hot Press needed an extra hand throughout his formative years, Duan managed La Rocca, before he took up the challenge of running hotpress.com – which went live in 2001. hotpress.com is currently running at well in excess of 5 million page impressions a month, with 450,000+ unique visitors. Duan is the proud father of two girls, Siena and Aoibhe. He has been chairperson of Magazines Ireland, and represented Irish Magazines on the boards of both ABC Ireland and the JNRS.. He is a key player in the Hot Press Munchengladbach 1891 team (crowned 2015 winners of the UNHCR Fair Play Football Tournament, run annually to mark World Refugee Day). He was heavily involved in the production of the 40th Anniversary Hot Press Covers Exhibition, which opened to much acclaim in April 2017
