Bursary Pass 2024

We are pleased to offer a limited number of free bursary accreditations for musicians and professionals based in Scotland.

The passes are supported by the Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA). If you are not yet a member of the SMIA, you can join for free here: https://wide.ink/SMIA

Priority will be given to individuals who have not attended an in-person Wide Days before due to factors such as geographical distance, barriers to access and those returning to work after a period of time out due to illness, caring responsibilities or other similar reasons.

Eligibility

Applicants must be over the age of 18.

The bursary is not available to people currently in full-time education.

Passes for artists are limited to a maximum of one per solo act / two per band (please apply separately).

Bursaries are conditional on recipients attending the full conference from midday on Wednesday 1 May and throughout Thursday 2 May. We also ask that where possible, recipients attend the showcases and support the performing artists. Access information for the venues used throughout the conference and showcases can be found here: https://www.widedays.com/accessibility.

How to apply

Please submit your application by 11pm Sunday 31 March 2024.

Your application can be submitted using the following formats:

If you are submitting an audio or video file: access to the file must be public; must not require an account (e.g. with Vimeo); and must not require those reviewing applications to enter personal details (e.g. email) to access the file.

No format will be prioritised above others by reviewers. Please select the option that works best for you.

Someone from our team will be in touch via email to let you know if your application has been successful. The first selection of bursary recipients are anticipated to be notified by Wednesday 3 April
