Paisley-based emcee, Kryptik, started out as a beatboxer and graffiti artist. His focus turned to rap in 2011 and within his first year, was booked to perform at the Solar Eclipse festival (Australia). He released his debut album, ‘Necessary Evil’, in 2015 and went on to form the group Delivery Room, who supported a range of high profile acts including The Four Owls, Ocean Wisdom, Skinnyman and even The Sugarhill Gang.

In 2019 he was nominated for a Scottish Alternative Music Award and since then, has accrued many more accolades and airplay globally. The covid hiatus seen him re-emerge hungrier than ever; performing alongside the likes of Fly Anakin, Marlowe and RA the Ruggedman.

Attracting critical acclaim with recent singles, ‘Ayahuasca’ and ‘Sinner’; Kryptik continues to turn heads within the music industry, with regular appearances on BBC Introducing and international showcase festivals New Skool Rules and Future Echoes.

Now counting Public Enemy’s Chuck D among his supporters, Kryptik kicked off 2023 becoming The Scotsman ‘Artist of the Week’ and has also been selected for British Airways in-flight entertainment playlist, ‘Next Big Thing’.

With a wide range of influences, his sound is diverse and energetic with passionate and authentic lyrics. He is a natural performing artist and leaves a memorable impression wherever he goes.
