Graham Galloway runs the community project, DD8 Music, in the Angus town of Kirriemuir. As well as offering youth music sessions from their recording studio base the group is also responsible for the annual Bonfest rock music festival. It celebrates the life and music of AC/DC front man Bon Scott, who spent his formative years in Kirriemuir. The festival has been running for 11 years and sees rock music fans from all over the world descend on the sleepy Angus town. In April of last year, after successfully raising £55,000 through a crowdfunding campaign, DD8 Music unveiled a life sized bronze statue of Bon in the town. This has now become a year round tourist draw for the local area.
