Music PR, Verstärker
Vivien Mierzkalla grew up in a small town in Saxony, in Eastern Germany. Besides two local punk bands and a youth centre there was not too much to do so right after finishing her A levels she left her hometown to study Communication and Media Science at the university in Leipzig. After finishing uni with a bachelor's degree Vivien moved to Berlin to start working for a local record label Snowhite starting to earn her stripes doing the online PR for bands like Zoot Woman or The Sounds.
Her involvement with the boutique label Humming Records started with the end of 2010 after successfully helping with the release of Flashguns and their inherent tour as a freelancer. Since then she's been taking care of the band and label PR, setting up and coordinating (partly international) campaigns for German band In Golden Tears, DZ Deathrays (AUS), Glitches (UK), Snakadaktal (AUS) for the German market and Cologne band VIMES, which Humming Records are also managing.
After an internship at the German Domino Recording Company office Vivien started working full time for the music PR agency verstärker. Since June 2011 she's been part of the team around Carsten Stricker and Sven Städtler and involved in the campaigns for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Beck, Bombay Bicycle Club, William Fitzsimmons or Arctic Monkeys in Germany, taking care of the online PR.
